These classes are for new or newer doulas who want to work with a doula with 28 years of experience. This training will help you get on the “same page” as the clients who sign up for the “Best of Both Worlds” option through B*E*S*T Doula Service.
Once you take this class, you will also need to sign up at BEST Doula for referrals and shadowing. This is considered a Shadowing opportunity because you would attend the birth in person and an experienced doula would be available by phone or text throughout the birth!
Existing, current members of DASC will get a 10% discount on all classes. DASC is Doulas Association of Southern California. You will receive the discounted amount after you sign up and your eligibility can be verified.
You will attend at last one prenatal visit with the client — no interviewing required! Learn the best ways to work successfully with doctors and nurses to provide the best possible care for your clients who are giving birth in a hospital setting.
You can join the waitlist for the appropriate classes for doulas if these dates don’t work for you.
Registration closes at 5:00 p.m. PST the evening before the class if you’re only signing up for one class — the night before the first of the 2 classes if you’re taking both.
